escaping mundanity & normalcy..

was flipping back through my memory lane..
suddenly thought of this song.. suits the theme
of my background picture.. the OST from the
movie "The Beach".. wasn't really into that
movie.. but to this song..

finally entering the last week of July.. a few
event coming up.. my last week of work in my
current company.. and not forgetting my almost
planned celebration of my birthday for 3
consecutive days.. hopefully everything turns
out well.. last but not the least.. really looking
forward to a new start at my new company on
the 1st of August.. =)

one by one.. my buddies got themselves a job..
some are happy.. while some faces problems..
nothing come smooth as thought.. bound to go
through some bumpy rides here and there..

met Mei and GuoYao for dinner at Jurong Point
after work for dinner on Friday.. I was there
earlier than the both of them.. went to Courts..
was browsing.. had the thought of getting a lappy
for myself.. but having second thoughts after
considering my current situation.. maybe till I
saved up a little more.. went over to the optical
shop to check out the price of the Oakley glasses
that I wanted to get.. seems like they've already
fixed it islandwide.. at least the boss is offering me
half price for multi-coated lenses.. which is better
than none right? made up my mind.. I'm going to
the optical shop tomorrow to get it down.. the 3rd
gift for myself after the bag and polo-tee.. sense
of great satisfaction.. =)

meet up with Mei.. went Swenson for dinner..
while waiting for GuoYao to finish his session
with the insurance agents.. I ordered Fish Baked
Rice. . while she had Fish & Chips.. also some side
dish to go along with the main course.. Calamari
Rings, Rodeo Wings and Caesar's Salad.. he finally
turn up halfway through our meal..

went McCafe after the meal.. suppose to wait for
GuoYao to return.. as he went back home to get
his laptop.. but both of us got a bit of tired waiting
and long day of work.. we decided to go home..

but meet up again after midnight.. but this time
round.. we have Wee, Adeline, Heng and Benson
along with us.. went Whampoa for wanton mee..
Benson was perspiring profusely after the meal..
quickly sent him home.. while continue our talk
cock session at West Coast Mac..

raining.. why is it raining practically every
Saturday?? can't even go out for a swim and to
get a little more tanned.. turning fair again..
meet Willy, Patrick and Morgan for dinner at
Bugis in the evening.. mind seems wandering to
somewhere else.. dinner at Ajisen was ok.. not
really that nice I guess.. but the French Toast
at Killiney Kopitiam opposite the new National
Library was great.. and of course.. the joke on
Patrick that really bring me to tears.. from the
laughter none the less.. kind of bring me out of
the effect that the cough syrup I had earlier..

while they went Orchard to meet Chee Wee, I
went over to Suntec to meet Wee, Adeline and
Benson.. Wee wanted to eat something at Sakae
Sushi before meeting KST and Mei at Crystal
Jade.. Leo and Suz joined us after their Zpop
concert.. they had their dinner at Burger King
instead.. as Crystal Jade last order was over..

intented to go T2 for Swenson ice cream.. but
after verification.. we can't make it in time for
their last order.. went to the one opposite
Paragon instead.. since it's operating in 24hours
on weekends.. bumped onto Ivy over there..
the 1st time seeing her outside a pub.. but she
was there with another friend.. hahaha.. Benson
was not feeling well again.. sent him home to
rest after completing our crave for ice creams..

can't really think of where to go after that.. went
Mount Faber.. since it's not far away.. perhaps it
was quite late.. so the crowd has disperse.. went
to the platform.. which looked like the deck of a
ship.. sat there and chit chatting away..

raining as usual on Sunday morning.. not planning
for anything too.. just slack at home.. there's
nothing much to look forward to on a rainy day..

counting down to 5 more working days.. end of
an old phase.. a start of new.. =)
