escaping mundanity & normalcy..

[feeling.. good?]

with the Great Singapore Sales going on for
almost a month.. coming to an end.. I've only
did my little "contribution" to boost the retail
industries, nearing to the final week of the
event.. hee.. got to wait till I get my bonus.. =p

wasn't feeling really well on Friday.. the
cough don't seems to get better.. constantly
agonising me for the past 1 month.. went to
visit the company clinic doctor.. and took 1/2
day medical leave.. met Serene for lunch at
Clementi.. she come to know that I've met a
stumbling block in one of my personal issue..
went over to Orchard.. wanted to get a bag
for myself.. Crumplers @ the Borders.. after
a couple of selection.. designs vs size vs price..
both of us think the importance of price win
the battle hands down.. how on earth will I
be crazy enough to get a bag for the price of
S$130-S$190??? I just settle for a S$85..
finally got myself a Crumpler.. don't have to
share it with my sister anymore..

went Coffee Club Express @ Taka after the
purchase.. had a little conversation about
some of our personal stuffs.. although I'm
getting on fine with my problems.. but really
appreciate her effort to hear me out.. waited
for her boyfriend, Wei Hua to arrive.. walked
over to Heeren.. they are meeting their
friends.. and I just proceed to Redhill to meet
Wee and Adeline. . wanted to have dinner
there.. but seems to be some kind of renovation
going on.. so I suggested the Fishhead Steamboat
at Tiong Poh Road.. guide Wee along the way
to reach that place.. kind of secluded if one is
not really familiar with that place.. had a really
hearty dinner.. 3 of us were like throat fulled..

meet up with KST, GuoYao and Mei at West
Coast MacDonald.. quite a number of sick
people there.. with Adeline, Wee, Mei and not
to forget.. myself.. constantly trying to spread
the virus to the other 2 unintentionally.. =p
played Jenga.. till most of us felt tired.. happen
to bump onto Kang there.. invited him for my
birthday dinner.. but was turned down due to
his work commitment..

lazy Saturday afternoon.. no one at home.. saw
the packet of economical rice on the kithen
table.. guess it's all mine.. and no one else.. my
brunch anyway.. =D logged onto MSN.. linked
into the conversation to plan for activities for
this long Saturday afternoon.. suggested tennis..
but court was fully booked.. swimming.. but
no one seems to be enthusiastic about it.. the
word Bugis seems to come out from me after
that.. because I wanted to get something there..
the mood of shopping will never failed womens..
so I tied up with Adeline and Mei to meet at
Bugis.. time set at 4pm.. with around 2 hours of
ample time for them to prepare..

reached Bugis exactly 4pm by bus.. as expected..
they would be there on time.. as Wee was caught
in a traffice jam.. National Day Parade rehearsal
mah.. hee.. went to Guan Yin Temple to offer
incense.. and back to Parco to get my All Blacks
Polo Tee from Adidas.. hee.. got it at quite a
reasonable price too.. S$65.. much cheaper than
previously that I've checked at Canterbury.. spend
a little time at Kino while waiting for the 2 ladies
to arrive.. Wee drop them off at Bugis and went
off to his basketball match.. joining us only later
in the evening for dinner..

follow the 2 of them around Parco and Seiyu..
they have not been there for quite a long while..
think they really enjoy themselves.. practically
come out with a bag of items from each boutiques
they patronized.. while I just happily following
and carrying the bags for them.. nothing much to
do also.. it was like.. walk.. shop.. walk.. shop..
tired.. sit down.. eat something.. and back to
continue shop.. walk.. shop.. till about 9p.m when
Wee and GuoYao finally arrived for dinner..
was famished.. had our dinner @ Sketches..
foods were nice.. Caesars Salad.. Calamari Rings..
Pastas.. etc.. etc.. not really filling though.. still
felt a little hunger.. went off to TCC @ Boat Quay
to chill out.. ordered a Tiramisu to curb my hunger..
hee.. quite nice.. laze around on the bean bags..
a nice place to laze a day away.. GuoYao went to
meet his friends at Mohd Sultan shortly.. while
Alvin came over to join us..

Leo, Suz and Heng came to join us too.. but we
shifted to Whampoa for Wan Tan Mee.. as the
2nd level of TCC closed at 12.45a.m.. Alvin head
home after the supper.. while the rest of us went
to East Coast Park.. all of us were still kind of
awake.. chatted on the park till around 4a.m
before each of everyone of us overcome by the
sleepyness.. it's been quite some time since we
last had such a late night out.. =)

felt slightly better over the couple of weeks of
events and state of health that brought on me..
cough is getting a little better after medication..
felt a little happy to get the 2 items that I longed
for.. my Crumpler bag and All Blacks Polo Tee..
although to obtain my Oakley glasses is near
impossible.. it's just to pricey for an old model..

stumbling blocks.. will I ever be able to walk
over them? or will they crushed me instead?
hopefully not the latter.. =)

looking forward to the start of my new job on
the 1st of August.. a total change.. new start..
new environment.. yet.. something to be missed
in the old place.. life goes on.. sometimes we
just have to go on.. hopefully this is really a
change for the better in many aspects of my
life.. =)
