escaping mundanity & normalcy..

what a week... but really got to say this..

THANK YOU!!! to all my friends who
are there for me.. and celebrated my
birthday.. =D

and also to those who sent me sms after
midnight on Friday.. thanks.. really glad
that you all remember..

Friday was also my last day of work in
my previous company.. spent most of
the time bidding farewell with my fellow
colleagues.. and also cleared the air
between my manager and me.. at least
leaving a better impression before I leave..
when I thought that I would not feel much
on the last day.. I was wrong.. the feeling
is so unspeakable.. afterall.. one year of
working in this place.. had bring me so
much of memories..

went Suntec after work.. celebrating my
birthday at Renn Thai.. some of them
who I've not seen for quite some times
also turn up.. the food were alright.. but
service was not that good.. as they seems
to be shorthanded.. moved over to Marina
South after dinner.. played 2 games of
bowling.. arm was sored.. still feeling so..
had a drink at Bugis Breko before going
home.. =)

help my sister collect her handphone at
Nokia service centre on Saturday.. went
reading magazine at Borders before
meeting up with Adeline for dinner..
wanted to eat at Spageddies.. but the
queue was damn long.. went over to
Nooch instead.. their ramen is nice..
Wee and Mei joined us a while later..
before going over to Mohd Sultan to meet
up with the rest at Double O.. saw my
Thai buddy there too.. drinking.. dancing..
and a lot of drinking.. what a night.. to
remember or to forget?? hahaha.. =p

just got back from dinner with my buddies..
as usual.. Rong Guang.. our most frequent
choice of food for birthday.. coffee at Harbour
Front after dinner.. they got me a Adidas
polo tee..

starting of my new job tomorrow.. feeling
rather excited.. hee.. new chapter to begin..

[All Saints - Pure Shores]

was flipping back through my memory lane..
suddenly thought of this song.. suits the theme
of my background picture.. the OST from the
movie "The Beach".. wasn't really into that
movie.. but to this song..

finally entering the last week of July.. a few
event coming up.. my last week of work in my
current company.. and not forgetting my almost
planned celebration of my birthday for 3
consecutive days.. hopefully everything turns
out well.. last but not the least.. really looking
forward to a new start at my new company on
the 1st of August.. =)

one by one.. my buddies got themselves a job..
some are happy.. while some faces problems..
nothing come smooth as thought.. bound to go
through some bumpy rides here and there..

met Mei and GuoYao for dinner at Jurong Point
after work for dinner on Friday.. I was there
earlier than the both of them.. went to Courts..
was browsing.. had the thought of getting a lappy
for myself.. but having second thoughts after
considering my current situation.. maybe till I
saved up a little more.. went over to the optical
shop to check out the price of the Oakley glasses
that I wanted to get.. seems like they've already
fixed it islandwide.. at least the boss is offering me
half price for multi-coated lenses.. which is better
than none right? made up my mind.. I'm going to
the optical shop tomorrow to get it down.. the 3rd
gift for myself after the bag and polo-tee.. sense
of great satisfaction.. =)

meet up with Mei.. went Swenson for dinner..
while waiting for GuoYao to finish his session
with the insurance agents.. I ordered Fish Baked
Rice. . while she had Fish & Chips.. also some side
dish to go along with the main course.. Calamari
Rings, Rodeo Wings and Caesar's Salad.. he finally
turn up halfway through our meal..

went McCafe after the meal.. suppose to wait for
GuoYao to return.. as he went back home to get
his laptop.. but both of us got a bit of tired waiting
and long day of work.. we decided to go home..

but meet up again after midnight.. but this time
round.. we have Wee, Adeline, Heng and Benson
along with us.. went Whampoa for wanton mee..
Benson was perspiring profusely after the meal..
quickly sent him home.. while continue our talk
cock session at West Coast Mac..

raining.. why is it raining practically every
Saturday?? can't even go out for a swim and to
get a little more tanned.. turning fair again..
meet Willy, Patrick and Morgan for dinner at
Bugis in the evening.. mind seems wandering to
somewhere else.. dinner at Ajisen was ok.. not
really that nice I guess.. but the French Toast
at Killiney Kopitiam opposite the new National
Library was great.. and of course.. the joke on
Patrick that really bring me to tears.. from the
laughter none the less.. kind of bring me out of
the effect that the cough syrup I had earlier..

while they went Orchard to meet Chee Wee, I
went over to Suntec to meet Wee, Adeline and
Benson.. Wee wanted to eat something at Sakae
Sushi before meeting KST and Mei at Crystal
Jade.. Leo and Suz joined us after their Zpop
concert.. they had their dinner at Burger King
instead.. as Crystal Jade last order was over..

intented to go T2 for Swenson ice cream.. but
after verification.. we can't make it in time for
their last order.. went to the one opposite
Paragon instead.. since it's operating in 24hours
on weekends.. bumped onto Ivy over there..
the 1st time seeing her outside a pub.. but she
was there with another friend.. hahaha.. Benson
was not feeling well again.. sent him home to
rest after completing our crave for ice creams..

can't really think of where to go after that.. went
Mount Faber.. since it's not far away.. perhaps it
was quite late.. so the crowd has disperse.. went
to the platform.. which looked like the deck of a
ship.. sat there and chit chatting away..

raining as usual on Sunday morning.. not planning
for anything too.. just slack at home.. there's
nothing much to look forward to on a rainy day..

counting down to 5 more working days.. end of
an old phase.. a start of new.. =)

[feeling.. good?]

with the Great Singapore Sales going on for
almost a month.. coming to an end.. I've only
did my little "contribution" to boost the retail
industries, nearing to the final week of the
event.. hee.. got to wait till I get my bonus.. =p

wasn't feeling really well on Friday.. the
cough don't seems to get better.. constantly
agonising me for the past 1 month.. went to
visit the company clinic doctor.. and took 1/2
day medical leave.. met Serene for lunch at
Clementi.. she come to know that I've met a
stumbling block in one of my personal issue..
went over to Orchard.. wanted to get a bag
for myself.. Crumplers @ the Borders.. after
a couple of selection.. designs vs size vs price..
both of us think the importance of price win
the battle hands down.. how on earth will I
be crazy enough to get a bag for the price of
S$130-S$190??? I just settle for a S$85..
finally got myself a Crumpler.. don't have to
share it with my sister anymore..

went Coffee Club Express @ Taka after the
purchase.. had a little conversation about
some of our personal stuffs.. although I'm
getting on fine with my problems.. but really
appreciate her effort to hear me out.. waited
for her boyfriend, Wei Hua to arrive.. walked
over to Heeren.. they are meeting their
friends.. and I just proceed to Redhill to meet
Wee and Adeline. . wanted to have dinner
there.. but seems to be some kind of renovation
going on.. so I suggested the Fishhead Steamboat
at Tiong Poh Road.. guide Wee along the way
to reach that place.. kind of secluded if one is
not really familiar with that place.. had a really
hearty dinner.. 3 of us were like throat fulled..

meet up with KST, GuoYao and Mei at West
Coast MacDonald.. quite a number of sick
people there.. with Adeline, Wee, Mei and not
to forget.. myself.. constantly trying to spread
the virus to the other 2 unintentionally.. =p
played Jenga.. till most of us felt tired.. happen
to bump onto Kang there.. invited him for my
birthday dinner.. but was turned down due to
his work commitment..

lazy Saturday afternoon.. no one at home.. saw
the packet of economical rice on the kithen
table.. guess it's all mine.. and no one else.. my
brunch anyway.. =D logged onto MSN.. linked
into the conversation to plan for activities for
this long Saturday afternoon.. suggested tennis..
but court was fully booked.. swimming.. but
no one seems to be enthusiastic about it.. the
word Bugis seems to come out from me after
that.. because I wanted to get something there..
the mood of shopping will never failed womens..
so I tied up with Adeline and Mei to meet at
Bugis.. time set at 4pm.. with around 2 hours of
ample time for them to prepare..

reached Bugis exactly 4pm by bus.. as expected..
they would be there on time.. as Wee was caught
in a traffice jam.. National Day Parade rehearsal
mah.. hee.. went to Guan Yin Temple to offer
incense.. and back to Parco to get my All Blacks
Polo Tee from Adidas.. hee.. got it at quite a
reasonable price too.. S$65.. much cheaper than
previously that I've checked at Canterbury.. spend
a little time at Kino while waiting for the 2 ladies
to arrive.. Wee drop them off at Bugis and went
off to his basketball match.. joining us only later
in the evening for dinner..

follow the 2 of them around Parco and Seiyu..
they have not been there for quite a long while..
think they really enjoy themselves.. practically
come out with a bag of items from each boutiques
they patronized.. while I just happily following
and carrying the bags for them.. nothing much to
do also.. it was like.. walk.. shop.. walk.. shop..
tired.. sit down.. eat something.. and back to
continue shop.. walk.. shop.. till about 9p.m when
Wee and GuoYao finally arrived for dinner..
was famished.. had our dinner @ Sketches..
foods were nice.. Caesars Salad.. Calamari Rings..
Pastas.. etc.. etc.. not really filling though.. still
felt a little hunger.. went off to TCC @ Boat Quay
to chill out.. ordered a Tiramisu to curb my hunger..
hee.. quite nice.. laze around on the bean bags..
a nice place to laze a day away.. GuoYao went to
meet his friends at Mohd Sultan shortly.. while
Alvin came over to join us..

Leo, Suz and Heng came to join us too.. but we
shifted to Whampoa for Wan Tan Mee.. as the
2nd level of TCC closed at 12.45a.m.. Alvin head
home after the supper.. while the rest of us went
to East Coast Park.. all of us were still kind of
awake.. chatted on the park till around 4a.m
before each of everyone of us overcome by the
sleepyness.. it's been quite some time since we
last had such a late night out.. =)

felt slightly better over the couple of weeks of
events and state of health that brought on me..
cough is getting a little better after medication..
felt a little happy to get the 2 items that I longed
for.. my Crumpler bag and All Blacks Polo Tee..
although to obtain my Oakley glasses is near
impossible.. it's just to pricey for an old model..

stumbling blocks.. will I ever be able to walk
over them? or will they crushed me instead?
hopefully not the latter.. =)

looking forward to the start of my new job on
the 1st of August.. a total change.. new start..
new environment.. yet.. something to be missed
in the old place.. life goes on.. sometimes we
just have to go on.. hopefully this is really a
change for the better in many aspects of my
life.. =)

[rainy.. grey skies.. looks so dull..]

fulfulling weekend? it's more like creating
activities to make myself stop thinking
about certain things.. but seems quite
ineffective for me..

met up with Wee, Adeline and Mei for
dinner on Friday.. was craving for the
fried hokkien mee that my buddies are
eating the night before.. so I suggested
ABC Market.. hee.. table full of foods..
shared amount the 4 of us.. fried hokkien
mee is a must.. BBQ Stingray.. rojak..
fried oyster egg.. very satisfied.. went
over to Ikea for some window shopping..
saw some things that kind of interest
to get.. but I don't have an own room..
perhaps some day in the future..

someone suggested Muddy Mud Pie..
off we went to Coffee Club at Orchard..
shared 2 Mud Pies.. what a sinful dinner..
but who cares? happy mah.. hahaha.. =D
Leo and Suz came over after their dinner
to join us.. before joining KST and Heng
at East Coast Mac..

planned to go for a swim on Saturday..
but laziness seems to take control of my
mind.. laze at home till evening.. went to
Alexandra Village for dinner.. alone.. =D
feel like eating Bak Kut Teh.. so went
there.. walk around Queensway.. and
also over to Chinatown.. was looking for
a pair of specs.. but the price is steep..
might consider to give up.. although my
bonus is coming.. how?

meet up with Wee, Heng, Adeline and
Mei for clubbing after that.. bumped
into Serene and WeiHua at Madam
Wong.. stayed there briefly.. rushed
over to Double O to help my cousin.. who
was drunk.. quite lucky though.. cut the
super long queue.. without having to
pay a single cents.. some mixed up..
help my cousin to taxi with her friends
sending her home.. went back to Madam
Wong to join the rest.. saw a couple of
old friends.. Winston.. my secondary
school classmate.. married already..
time flies.. but I'm still like this.. saw
Simon.. my poly classmate.. he was kind
of rush to get re-entry into Double O..
didn't catch up with him much.. thinking
back.. I forgotten to get their contact
numbers.. hahaha.. blur me.. =p

meet ups.. foods.. clubbing.. friends..
late nights.. exhuastion.. all these
still cannot change some facts.. tried
to escape from reality.. but only to
backfire.. getting myself to stuck
deeper.. headache lah.. haiz..

[Frente - Blizzard Love Triangle]

stepping into the month of July.. just like a
blink of my eyelids.. half of 2005 was gone..
any personal achievements? hmm.. seriously..
I doubt so.. hehehe.. with another half of the
year to go.. I hope to achieve something.. one
of those.. is to work harder on my new job..
yeah.. I got a new job.. starting on the 1st of
August.. although it's just a 2 years contract..
but I'm really glad to get this job.. there are
many more things that I really want to achieve
lately.. but there are a couple which I really
wish to achieve.. yet facing some level of
difficulties.. not giving up any hope just yet..

being quite busy for the past few days.. was
not working on Thursday.. department shut
down due to stocktaking.. went swimming
in the morning.. had my lunch at Amoy
Street.. wrong timing.. lunch crowd.. but the
queue for the Lor Mee was quite fast.. been
quite a while since I last savor this dish.. =D
went over to Stanley Street to search for
Suz's present.. Oakley Dartboard L.. Pink
Iridium Lens.. was told that although it's the
sole distributor.. but they do not sell it there..
all sets are only on display.. got to purchase it
at their authorised dealers..

no choice.. walk over to Suntec City.. found
it at C.E.D.S.. the only pair in the boutique..
new arrival mah.. made the purchase and
do some window shopping.. it's always been
this case.. when the Great Singapore Sales
is ongoing.. I got nothing to buy in my mind..
walk from Suntec to Funan.. then Bugis..
and down to Chinatown before heading home..
quite tired from all the walking.. but kind of
good exercise since I hurt my ligament..

had my dinner at home before meeting the
usual gang at Wala Wala.. quite enjoyable..
but songs are kind of slow.. felt sleepy.. -_-²²²

working on Friday almost bored me till death..
the whole department practically left with only
me and my colleague.. looking forward to the
dinner after work.. went City Hall with Yin after
work.. waited for Serene and WeiHua to arrive..
both of them were late.. had our dinner at Al
Dente Trattoria.. nice place.. good ambience..
but the waitress got our order wrong.. still the
food is not that bad.. do some grocery shopping
with Serene and WeiHua.. as they are heading
down to Sentosa for their chalet after that.. sent
Yin home.. before heading back home to pack my
bag for Suz's chalet..

arrived at the chalet nearly 1a.m.. luckily they
were not asleep yet.. hardly they would.. played
games.. chats.. only to catch some sleep at around
5a.m.. but woke up at 8.. went to have our Mac
breakfast.. a short trip down to Pasir Ris Central
and back lazing in our room.. had a short swim
before BBQ.. the rain almost dampen the whole
session.. but it was actually quite fun BBQ in the
rain.. using the umbrella to cover the pit.. the foods
were cooked in a very fast pace.. almost complete
within an hour.. nothing to do after that.. went to
Tampines K Box for some singing session..gruesome
5 hours of singing till 3a.m.. actually wanted to have
a light supper.. but end up with a heavy one..
courteousy to our always so chatty GuoYao.. "seduce"
the aunty selling Ngoh Hiang to give us so much
food.. make me have to eat so much cucumbers..

woke up at 9a.m to prepare for checking out.. went
Changi Village for breakfast before heading home..
went straight to bed upon reaching.. slept all the
way till 4p.m.. meet my buddies for kopi session at
Tiong Bahru after my dinner at home..

really enjoy the whole weekend.. having meet up
with so many group of friends.. but there seems
to be a constant feel of something is missing..
