escaping mundanity & normalcy..

[Dreams..]

yah.. this word.. D.R.E.A.M.. 5 simple alphabets..
everyone have their dreams.. some changes as
time goes by.. some remain since young.. but how
many people in actually fact fulfilled their dreams?

when we are young.. during composition writing..
there's bound to come out with this topic..

What is your ambition??

well.. how many of us still remember what we
wrote?? or how many have actually done what we
wrote? in certain point of view at that moment..
our thinking are quite superficial.. only view things
through exterior factor that are influencing us.. some
wanted to be a doctor.. police.. teacher.. or lawyer..
these might all because of the television factor..

we saw how doctor turns a near dead patient back
to life.. how brave the police chase after a criminal..
not forgetting the stylo gun fight.. how fun being a
teacher is.. playing with students.. or mingling with
other chio or handsome teachers.. or even how a
rookie lawyer win a case over a treacherous magnate..

back to reality.. all these might be real life.. but often
we only watch them through dramas and movies..

how many of us still dream? maybe as we are older..
our dreams become more practical.. as we dream..
how many really went all out to achieve it? or really
put it as a dream..? honestly.. as we grow older.. the
more we don't dare to dream.. or to achieve it.. we
just couldn't win over our fear for failure..

look at Thomas Edison.. before he came out with the
correct formula to light up a bulb.. he failed at least
thousands of attempt.. people laughed him off.. yet he
did not give up.. and finally invented what had become
an important thing in our life..

"I did not failed thousands time.. but I found
thousands of way not to light up a bulb.."

failure is just a learning process in our life.. the fear of
failure is due to complacency.. we become satisfied with
what we are getting every day in and day out.. we do
not want to destroy this living pattern.. thus holding us
back in achieving the dreams.. and this makes dreams
just a dream.. happens only when your eyes are close..
open your eyes.. gone..

I've dreams.. I dream of getting a degree.. owning a car..
owning a property.. be it private or government.. starts
a relationship.. form a family.. going for holidays every
now and then.. healthy bank account.. many many more..

if I just sit down and dream.. square one when I wake up..
things won't move.. when I don't move.. must get up on
my feet and starts working towards my dreams.. failure
is definitely unavoidable.. but at least I did tried to achieve..

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by
the night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in
the morning to find it was but vanity, but those men who
dream by day - these are dangerous men, for they dream
with open eyes to make their dreams come true.

one word to describe this weekend.. BORED.. yeah.. bored
till death.. apart from going down to Orchard to sell away
my digital camera.. and meeting up a ex-campmate from
Thailand for a little coffee.. spent most of the time at home..
didn't even played soccer this morning.. I'm be seriously
crazy if I ever played.. my knee is still hurt.. not practically
optimistic of the condition at this moment.. many sees it
as minor.. but I can feel it.. so.. please don't say it's not that
serious.. because you'll never know how I feel if you never
try it on your own.. but life goes on.. there're bound to have
a way out.. at least it did not hinder much of my activites..

kind of dread going back to work tomorrow.. shouldn't dwell
much on that.. let tomorrow speaks up of itself.. just want
to get pass today slowly.. bored.. but at least happier..
